Big Iron.com Rolls To The Badger State

St. Edward, NE--Big Iron is pleased to announce its expansion into the state of Wisconsin.

Kicking off with an online auction on April 13, Big Iron will list agricultural equipment from Wisconsin and other states. 

The company’s development into the upper Midwest state seemed appropriate because of the state’s agricultural similarities to Nebraska, said Tom Landmessser, Big Iron’s national sales manager.

“There’s certainly a lot of agriculture equipment in that state,” Landmesser said.

The addition of Wisconsin means Big Iron is listing items from its largest audience ever, said Mark Stock, founder of Big Iron.  “We’re excited about the growth and expansion of that area,” he said. 

Big Iron’s presence in Wisconsin means sellers in that state can easily communicate with potential buyers in that state. The personal communication allows for a smooth transition of machinery between the seller and buyer, Landmesser said. “Most people like talking directly with a potential buyer,” he said, “and Big Iron does that.  

The potential buyer feels like they know the seller well and they know the machinery well. ”Mauricio Peterson, Big Iron’s district manager for Wisconsin, is also excited about Big Iron’s presence in his state. He has spent the past couple weeks interviewing local men and women to work as territory mangers.  “We have some great candidates with agricultural and construction equipment knowledge” Peterson said. Peterson’s favorite part about Big Iron is talking to people and helping them realize their equipment has a market.  Peterson added that he’s looking forward to his team getting the word out about Big Iron. 

“Only two years ago, the company held its first auction with 21 items,” Stock said. “Later this month, on April 13, Big Iron will hold its largest auction featuring 1,061 different items.”

Big Iron looks forward to the growth into even more states, like Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
