Nick was raised on a family farm and cattle feeding operation south of North Loup, NE.  He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management.  While residing in Kearney, Nick worked construction and sold real estate.  He was an active member of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department for 6 years during which time he served as an active lieutenant and rescue chief.  Nick obtained his real estate license in 2007.

 Nick currently resides in Scotia, NE with his wife, Amanda and twin sons, Lucas and Landon born October 2, 2008.  Amanda is a native of Scotia and is a teacher and coach at Greeley-Wolbach Public Schools
