Born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, served in the US Navy, received a BS in Economics from Albright College, spent twenty years in the manufacturing business sector. Relocated to Kansas City with the H.D. Lee Company and then to Hong Kong to assume the position of Finance Manager for the Far East operations. 

Married 32 years and have four children two are living in Columbia, South Carolina. James, Jr. is an Instructor at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and Elizabeth is an EMS technician.  They have provided me with five grandchildren.  James, Jr. has a boy, James E. Crosland, III and Elizabeth has four boys with her oldest, Benjamin in junior college.

Susan and I adopted twin girls during the five years we were in Hong Kong. Tessa graduated from Lindenwood University, married and living in Kansas City.  Kira is a Kansas University graduate, living Olathe, KS and working for Garmin International.

Spent ten years in St. Louis working for a tax consulting firm reducing real estate & personal property tax liabilities for industrial, commercial & utility companies nationwide.

Received my Missouri Real Estate Broker’s License in October 2005 and recently secured my Kansas Salesman’s License.

Associations include Past Commander of the American Legion Post 556 Chesterfield, MO, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Elks Club of Atchison, KS.
